Leslie Nelson has a diverse professional background in youth counseling and education, currently serving as a Bilingual Youth Counselor at Friends of Youth since April 2010. Previous roles include Community Educator at Russel Ridge Center from 2008 to 2015, where instruction encompassed Spanish, ASL, Chess, Economics, Historical Fiction, and Science/Gardening. Leslie also held positions as Graveyard Supervisor/Youth Counselor at Ruth Dykeman Children's Center from 2007 to 2010, Case Manager at Glenwood Center in 1992-1993, Youth Counselor at Bethel Youth Facility in 1992-1993, and Correctional Service Officer at the Arizona Department of Corrections from 1991 to 1992. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University - Idaho, completed between 2015 and 2020.
