Rachel Black has extensive work experience in various industries. Rachel started their career as a Pond Leader at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where they assisted elementary students on field trips and helped them identify organisms in the Rose Garden Pond. Rachel then worked as a Lead Pet Care associate at PetSmart, where they cared for various types of pets, educated customers on pet care, and delegated tasks to fellow employees. Later, Rachel worked as an Elementary School Teacher at Choice Schools Associates, teaching 5th and 3rd grade and creating lessons according to Michigan and Common Core State Standards. Rachel continued their teaching career at National Heritage Academies, where they taught 2nd grade and the Proficient Class for academically advanced students. Currently, Rachel holds the position of Lead Inside Sales Analyst at Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.

Rachel Black earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. In addition to their degree, Rachel obtained a Provisional Teaching Certificate in June 2008. Rachel also acquired a Safety Specialist certification from the National Heritage Academies in October 2016.
