Colin Pierse has worked in the IT field since 2008. Colin began their career as an IT Support Person at the University of Limerick, followed by an IT Support / Server Migration role at Heimbach Ireland Limited. In 2010, they took on a Content Creator role at Flairse, where they created content for E-learning courses and edited and designed graphics. From 2012 to 2015 they worked at Redwind Software as a Senior iOS Programmer, working on corporate products and Redwind's own IP. Colin then moved to Guidecentral as Lead iOS Developer, where they were brought in to create the iPad app and to bring the app alive with animations. Since 2015, they have been at Travelport Digital, where they have held the roles of Team Lead, Senior iOS Developer, and iOS Developer. In their current role, they have worked on developing reusable products and internal frameworks, and has worked on over 12 internal libraries, two of which they led development on. Colin is currently a Principal Software Engineer at Fresco, a position they have held since 2022.
Colin Pierse attended Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School, Tralee from 2003 to 2007, where they studied English, Maths, Theirtory, Geography, Chemistry, Biology and Home Economics (Social and Scientific). Colin then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Multimedia and Computer Games Development at the University of Limerick from 2007 to 2011.
