Matteo Tafuro is an AI Engineer at Freightdog since September 2023 and has been a Research Intern at the University of Amsterdam since April 2022, focusing on the influence of artworks on gender conceptions. Tafuro also serves as a Teaching Assistant for the Computer Vision 1 course in the MSc. Artificial Intelligence program. Prior experience includes a Research Internship at Amsterdam UMC, working on a Master's Thesis in the Cardiovascular Lab, and moderating a roundtable at NeurIPS 2022 concerning biases in ML systems. Matteo Tafuro holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Technology from the University of Twente. Early educational background includes the European Baccalaureate from the European High School of Brindisi.
