Kiana Lawrence has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as a Senior Civic Engagement Ambassador at Oglethorpe University Center for Civic Engagement in 2012. From 2013-2015, they held intern and coordinator roles at Purpose Built Communities and Blue Heron Nature Preserve, Inc., respectively. In 2016, they took on the role of Programs Coordinator at the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia. In 2019, they began their role as Major Gifts and Planned Giving Manager at Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Partner Success Team Lead at FreeWill, where they are responsible for building relationships with nonprofits, mentoring and inspiring a team of Strategists & Senior Strategists, and advocating for partners internally.
Kiana Lawrence obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Rhetoric Studies from Oglethorpe University between 2012 and 2016. In 2019, they obtained a Mental Health First Aid USA certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health. In November 2020, they received a Certificate in Digital Fundraising from the Georgia Center for Nonprofits. Additionally, they are CPR/AED Certified.
