Maria Krisch

Research Fellow in Physical Sciences at Freethink Technologies

Maria Krisch has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and institutions. Maria started their career as a Research Assistant at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where they conducted research on carbon cycling using stable isotope mass spectrometry and infrared spectroscopy measurements. Maria then worked as a Visiting Instructor at Haverford College before joining UC Irvine as a Postdoctoral Researcher, focusing on the structure of the liquid-vapor interface. Maria later joined Trinity College as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, where their research program centered on the structure and chemistry of the liquid-vapor interface. Maria utilized various techniques including GC-MS, aerosol generation, synchrotron XPS, surface tension measurements, and spectroscopy. Maria then moved to FreeThink Technologies and held several positions, including Senior Scientist and Associate Director of the Physical Sciences Group. In these roles, they led client projects, developed group structures, allocated resources, and provided experimental support. Overall, Maria Krisch has extensive experience in scientific research and project management.

Maria Krisch obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, with a minor in Biology, from Swarthmore College, where they attended from 1995 to 1999. Maria then pursued higher education and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago, completing their studies between 2000 and 2005.
