Eric Detmer, PE, currently serves as the Environmental Manager at Freeport-McMoRan, where responsibilities include managing the Environmental Department for a surface molybdenum mine, overseeing compliance, permitting, and Environmental Management Systems. Prior to this role, Eric held the position of Chief Environmental Engineer at Freeport-McMoRan's Miami copper smelter, focusing on compliance with Title V air quality permits and hazardous waste management. Earlier experience includes serving as Manager of the Environmental Department at Spring Creek Coal Company, and various project engineer roles at HydroSolutions Inc., RIMCON, Jacobs, and PHC-Reclamation Inc. Eric holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Montana Technological University, obtained between 1989 and 1993.
