Julie Zaebst is an experienced professional with a diverse background in library science, policy advocacy, and social services. Currently serving as an Adult and Teen Librarian at the Free Library of Philadelphia since October 2024, Zaebst previously held roles at the ACLU of Pennsylvania as a Senior Policy & Advocacy Strategist and Manager of the Duvall Reproductive Freedom Project. Prior experience includes positions as Policy Center Manager and Interim Executive Director at the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, along with key roles at Bryn Mawr College in the Civic Engagement Office. Zaebst has a strong educational foundation, holding an MSLS in Library Science from Pennsylvania Western University and a dual degree in Social Service Management from Bryn Mawr College, complemented by an undergraduate degree in Gender Studies and German.
