Philip Amalong

Vice President of Marketing at Freedom

Philip Amalong has a long and varied work experience. Philip began their career in 1987 as Co-Founder/Owner of Prime Time Music and Prime Time Productions, a boutique music production company. Philip then went on to found Vitaminsdirect.com, Submitjet.com, NicQuest.net, and 2000Webplace in 1996. In 2002, they became Chair of the Department of Music at Mount St. Joseph University, where they started new programs in Jazz & Studio Music, Liturgical Music, and Master of Arts--Music Education. In 2010, they became Vice President of Community & Content and Senior Producer/Performance Analyst at Zenph Inc, a music technology startup. Philip was part of the founding leadership team responsible for strategic planning, product road map, marketing, content, business development, user experience, and customer success. In 2014, they became Director of Product Marketing at ReverbNation, a SaaS product used by millions of musicians. In 2015, they took on roles as Vice President of Marketing at Freedom, Member of the CMO Alliance, and Technology & Media for Steinway & Sons. Philip also became Senior Director of Product Marketing at Cloudastructure, Inc.

Philip Amalong has an extensive educational background. Philip obtained an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, with specializations in Blockchain, Strategy, and Startup Entrepreneurship. Philip also holds a Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati, with a field of study in Collaborative Piano and Music Business. Finally, they have a Bachelor of Music from the University of Cincinnati, with a field of study in Piano Performance. In addition, they have obtained certifications from Google (Google Analytics in December 2015) and HubSpot (Inbound Certification in April 2015). Philip is also in the process of obtaining a Google AdWords certification.
