William Wassum

William Wassum has extensive experience in music education and performance, currently serving as the Director of Orchestras at Fredericksburg Christian Schools and as Executive Director and Violin Instructor at Wassum String Academy since 1999. With a focus on Suzuki, Rolland, and Colourstrings pedagogy, William is a certified Rolland pedagogue and has taught applied lessons at the University of Mary Washington since 2017. William has held leadership roles in various ensembles, including as the first violinist and leader of the Seraphim String Quartet and a founding member of the Rappahannock Pops Orchestra. With a Master's degree in Violin Performance from Marshall University and a diverse array of continuing education in string pedagogy, William has a distinguished history of freelance performance with renowned artists and orchestras.
