Zakiya Petion has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2015, Zakiya worked as a Medical Receptionist at Avi Pandey MD for over a year. Zakiya then transitioned to the role of Public Relations Intern at the same company, where they improved office procedures and facilitated communication between staff members and leadership. Zakiya Petion completed their Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations from St. John's University, which spanned from 2015 to 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Texas Woman's University. This program was undertaken from 2019 to 2021.
