Emily Segrest is an experienced English teacher at Franklin Township Community School Corporation, instructing English 10, 10 Honors, and Themes in Literature: True Crime at Franklin Central High School since January 2021. Prior teaching experience includes a student teaching role for English 9 and 9 Honors at the same institution. Emily has also worked as a Starbucks Barista and Trainer at Meijer, where responsibilities included training staff and managing social media, and served as a Writing Consultant at the IUPUI University Writing Center, focusing on student writing and research in rhetoric. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University Indianapolis and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in English at Indiana University South Bend.
