Nicholas Chui, CFA, CA, serves as the Lead Portfolio Manager at Franklin Templeton since April 2023, focusing on All China, China Offshore, and China A-shares. Previously, Nicholas held the position of Portfolio Manager at BlackRock from September 2020 to April 2023, where a successful turnaround of Asian and China portfolios was achieved, leading to a resumption of AUM inflows. Prior experience includes serving as Investment Director at Aberdeen Standard Investments from November 2010 to August 2020, overseeing a team and managing investments across the All China equity universe. Nicholas began a self-employed investment career from 2009 to 2010, utilizing fundamental analysis for stock selection in Singapore and Hong Kong markets, and earlier worked as an Assistant Manager at Singapore Management University. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree, graduating as Valedictorian with a GPA of 4.0/4.0 from Singapore Management University.
