Deb Faulkner has extensive work experience in law enforcement. Deb served as the Chief of Police at the Franklin Police Department starting in September 2014, and prior to that, they were the Deputy Chief of Police at the same department starting in May 2014. Before joining the Franklin Police Department, Deb worked as the Inspector General for the State of Tennessee from February 2004 to May 2014. Deb also held the position of Deputy Chief of Police at the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department from September 1973 to January 2004. Overall, Deb Faulkner has over 40 years of experience in law enforcement in various leadership roles.
Deb Faulkner began their education journey at Glencliff High School, where they attended from 1963 to 1969. Deb then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism at The University of Memphis from 1969 to 1973. After completing their undergraduate studies, Deb pursued a Master's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Middle Tennessee State University, attending from 1976 to 1978. Later, they furthered their education by obtaining an EdD in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University, completing their doctorate from 1979 to 1981.
