Dimitris Tolis has extensive work experience in the engineering and construction industry. Dimitris started their career in 1990 as a Civil Engineer at LH Logismiki and worked there until 1996. Dimitris then joined Dedalus construction as a Civil Engineer from 1996 to 2001. After that, they worked at Συστήματα VSL Greece - VSL International Ltd. PC as a Civil Engineer Technical Director from 2001 to 2006. In 2007, they joined FRANK E BASIL S.A. as a Project Manager, and later held the positions of Deputy Managing Director from 2012 to 2013 and Managing Director from 2014 onwards.

Dimitris Tolis has a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace, which they obtained between 1977 and 1983. Prior to that, between 1984 and 1986, they attended "ΙΝΣΤΙΤΟΥΤΟΥ ΠΕΡΙΦΕΙΑΚΗΣ ΑΝΑΨΥΧΗΣ Ε.Π.Ι. ΠΑΝΤΕΙΟΥ ΠΑΝΕΠΙΣΤΗΜΙΟΥ" (INSTITOUTOU PERIFERIAKIS ANAPSYCHIS E.P.I. PANTEIOU PANEPIMISTIMIOU), although no degree or field of study was specified for this period.
