Darryl Bridges has extensive work experience primarily in higher education administration. Darryl began their career at Western Kentucky University, where they held positions as a Residence Hall Director and later as an Area Coordinator for Residence Life. Darryl then joined Francis Marion University, where they held various leadership roles including Director of Residence and Student Life, Dean of Students, Vice President for Student Affairs, Vice President for Public & Community Affairs, and Vice President for Development. Currently, they serve as the Vice President for Finance & Facilities at Francis Marion University, and starting in 2023, they will assume the role of Executive Vice President.
Darryl Bridges holds a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education, which they obtained from Western Kentucky University between 1991 and 1994. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Government/Criminology at the same university from 1988 to 1991. In 1987 and 1988, they attended the University of Mississippi, where they pursued Political Science without completing a degree.
