Shirley Smith has extensive experience in financial management and administrative coordination, with a career spanning over three decades at FPInnovations since May 1990, where Shirley has held roles including Project Financial Analyst and Office Manager within the FERIC Division. Shirley's responsibilities include financial management of service contracts, purchasing, accounts payable, budget reviews, and human resources processes, along with assisting the Vice President with various administrative tasks. Prior to FPInnovations, Shirley served as Administrative Coordinator at the Forest Engineering Research Institute of Canada from May 1990 to May 2007, where Shirley managed conference events, including budgeting and contract negotiation, and supported Human Resources for the Eastern Division. Shirley holds a College Degree (D.E.C.) in Business Administration and Management from John Abbott College, earned between 1986 and 1989.
