FP Complete Chairman and Founder Aaron Contorer has been CTO, CEO, or Chairman of 5 tech startups, and a Fortune 500 executive. He is a recognized strategy expert and speaker on DevOps, security, software engineering, and technology team building, and has helped to build and secure services ranging from major consumer portals, to stock market analytics, to medical systems, to the Oscars and the Emmys. Aaron served as technology adviser to CEO Bill Gates at Microsoft, and was general manager of Microsoft’s productivity tools team and of the software engineering tool Visual C++. He was an R&D manager and architect on the creation of MSN and parts of Windows, Exchange, and Active Directory. Previously, he co-created the "shareware" business model at Contorer Computing and was one of the original Internet software engineers at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, contributing code to what became Microsoft Internet Explorer 1.0. An early student of artificial intelligence, Aaron holds degrees in computer science and cognitive psychology, and is an inventor on 18 patents focusing on security and data. Aaron also serves as Managing Partner at startup investment and company-building firm Greatscale Ventures, which he cofounded with Tyson McDowell.
