H.W. Jerome Maddox is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as General Counsel at Fox Chase Cancer Center since May 2022 and as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation since April 2013. Previously, Maddox held the position of Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Moderna from August 2020 to April 2022, and Vice President for US Legal at GSK, where leadership was provided for the vaccines division. Maddox has extensive experience in pharmaceutical law, having led the successful launch of GSK’s Shingrix vaccine, and has held various roles at Dechert LLP, ARAMARK, and Friends of the Wissahickon. An academic background includes serving as an Assistant Professor in Political Science at both Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania, along with multiple advanced degrees from Harvard University in Political Science and Government, culminating in a J.D. from Temple University.
