Kalen Smith is a Senior Geologist at FourPoint Energy, LLC, since November 2022, with extensive experience in geologic operations across various basins, including the Permian and Delaware Basins. Prior positions include Senior Geologist at Maverick Natural Resources and roles at FourPoint Energy and Columbine Logging. Notable achievements include establishing a 24/7 geosteering center for multiple projects, supporting the development of a comprehensive geologic database with over 15,000 formation top picks, and significantly improving operational efficiency by reducing sidetracks and drilling times. Kalen holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, obtained in 2011.
