Ramkumar Nair is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and sustainable technology sectors. Since June 2020, Ramkumar has been serving as a Business Mentor at Founder Institute. As the Founder and CEO of Mycorena AB from April 2017 to October 2024, Ramkumar led efforts to produce sustainable fungi-based protein, significantly reducing waste and water usage within food and agriculture industries through an innovative Circular Economy model. Ramkumar's academic background includes a PhD in Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Borås, complemented by an MSc in Biotechnology from Cochin University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Mahatma Gandhi University. Additional research experience includes roles at the University of Gothenburg, CSIR-NIIST, NCAAH, and ICAR-CIFT.
