Karen Orrego Soto is an accomplished environmental professional with extensive experience in project development and environmental management within the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as Environmental South America at Fotowatio Renewable Ventures since April 2022, Karen previously held the position of Project Development Specialist at Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., overseeing environmental aspects of project development in Chile. Additional roles include Project Manager at TEBAL, where Karen coordinated renewable energy projects for environmental assessments, and work at the Corporación Nacional Forestal focusing on climate change and environmental safeguards. With a strong technical background, Karen has contributed to numerous environmental impact assessments and compliance projects throughout a diverse career, complemented by a degree in Environmental Engineering from Universidad de Concepción and a postgraduate qualification in Environmental Law from Universidad del Desarrollo.
