Ian Schnider is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in middle market lending and investing. Currently serving as Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group since August 2004, Ian specializes in the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) sector. Previously, Ian held the position of Managing Director at The Loftus Group, focusing on turnaround and restructuring advisory. In addition, Ian was a Partner at Sand Hill Capital, where responsibilities included launching the Los Angeles office and driving national expansion, contributing to the establishment of a $500 million business. Ian's career also includes a role as Senior Vice President at Transamerica Technology Finance from 1997 to 2000. Ian holds a B.Com LLB law degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, earned between 1973 and 1978.
