Daniel James has a strong background in finance and leadership roles. Daniel is currently working as the Vice President Finance- Expense Management at Fortitude Re since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Cigna where they held various positions including Vice President Finance, Director of Finance - Medicare Operations, Director of Marketing and Business Development, Director of Pharmacy Operations, and Director of Finance - Pharmacy. Before their tenure at Cigna, Daniel worked at SVP Worldwide as an Assistant Treasurer - Global Cash Management and as a Business Analyst in Product Development/Demand Planning - Corporate. Daniel also has experience as a Process Engineer IV - Operations Development at Emdeon Business Services. Daniel's career started in the United States Marine Corps where they served as a Staff Sergeant of Marines, holding positions such as Avionics Work Center Supervisor, MCMAP Instructor, and Assistant Recruiter. Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated strong financial, strategic planning, and operational management skills.

Daniel James completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Park University from 2003 to 2006. Daniel then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Accounting/Finance/Economics at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) from 2006 to 2007.
