Jill Ferrier is an experienced professional in instructional design and training management, currently serving as the Manager of Technical Trades and Operational Learning at FortisBC since December 2010. In this role, Jill is responsible for the development, delivery, and management of technical and functional training across the organization, collaborating with stakeholders to address training needs. Prior to this position, Jill served as an Instructional Design Manager, where oversight of a team focused on training development was a key responsibility. Jill's background includes positions as an Instructional Designer and Instructional Writer, along with part-time instructorship at Simon Fraser University in technical writing. Earlier career experience includes a technical writing role at Kodak Graphic Communications Canada, where Jill managed documentation for software products and trained new writers. Educational qualifications include a BA in Writing and Political Science and a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Victoria.
