Cameron Newlands has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Cameron worked at Fortescue Metals Group as a Principal, Project Approvals and as an Environment Senior Advisor. Prior to that, they were an Environment Advisor - Approvals at the same company. Cameron also worked as an Environment Advisor at How Far Environmental. At Westgold Resources, they served as an Environment Advisor, managing environmental compliance and implementing strategies to eliminate non-compliance. Cameron also worked as a Warehouse Operations Manager at Keldan International, where they restructured the warehouse and implemented systems to maximize efficiency. Cameron's experience also includes working at Rio Tinto, where they held roles such as Environment Advisor and Technical Assistant, handling environmental compliance, data analysis, and field exposure. Cameron began their career as an Operations Assistant at Liquor Traders Australia.

Cameron Newlands obtained a Bachelor's degree in Conservation Biology, Marine & Freshwater Science from Edith Cowan University in the years 2011 to 2014. In 2013 to 2014, Cameron also studied at the University of South Florida as part of an exchange program to further their education.
