Matthew O'Brien currently serves as Chief of Staff at Formation Bio since October 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew O'Brien gained significant experience at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from January 2019 to August 2023, holding positions as Project Leader and Consultant. Matthew O'Brien's earlier experience includes working as a Research Analyst at MDRC, a Graduate Student Consultant at Save the Children International, and a Summer Research Fellow at Mission: Restore, Inc. Additionally, Matthew O'Brien was the Chicago Program Manager for Peer Health Exchange and a High School Science Teacher for Teach For America. Early career experience includes a Public Health Intern role at the International Centre for Migration, Health and Development (ICMHD). Matthew O'Brien holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a focus on Economic & Political Development from Columbia University - SIPA and a BA in Biological Anthropology from Boston University.
