Rod Beckstrom

Rod Beckstrom is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology, cybersecurity, and geopolitics. As the Founder and CEO of The Rod Beckstrom Group since June 2001, Beckstrom has shaped technology companies and advised leaders in the industry. Co-founding Cequence Security in 2014, a leader in API cybersecurity, and serving as a former President and CEO of ICANN, Beckstrom has had a significant impact on the cybersecurity landscape. Active with the World Economic Forum since 1992, Beckstrom contributes expertise in cybersecurity and globalization efforts. Further involvement includes serving as a board trustee at the Environmental Defense Fund and holding the position of United States Ambassador for the Global Blockchain Business Council. Beckstrom has also co-authored the best-selling book "The Starfish and The Spider" on decentralization, and held prominent roles at various esteemed organizations, including TED Conferences and Samsung Electronics. Beckstrom holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Stanford University, complemented by a Fulbright Scholarship in Switzerland.
