Mercè Rius Serra is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project development and sustainability. Currently serving as the Director of Project Development for Catalonia at Forestalia and responsible for sustainability at Barcelona Finance School, Mercè has previously held significant leadership roles including General Director of Transport and Mobility and General Director of Environmental Quality and Climate Change at the Generalitat de Catalunya. Additional past positions include being a board member at the Metropolitan Transport Authority and patron at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health. Mercè's educational background includes a PhD in Biology from Universitat de Barcelona and further qualifications in business administration and sustainability from prestigious institutions such as IESE Business School and Esade.
