Jorge Andrés Matallana is a skilled professional with extensive experience in climate and ecosystem services, currently serving as Manager of the Climate & Ecosystem Services Programme at the Forest Stewardship Council since May 2021, where coordination of product and system development takes place. Previously, Jorge held the position of Officer within the same programme, focusing on communications and market development. Jorge's background includes an internship at the Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation, where research on education-to-work projects in developing countries was conducted. Earlier roles include teaching high school, promoting entrepreneurship and cooperation, and supporting project design as a research assistant. Jorge holds a Master's degree in Development Economics and International Development from Wageningen University & Research and two Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Government, as well as Business Administration from Universidad de Los Andes.
