Abdul Qadeer Popal is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in transportation, civil, and fire protection engineering. Currently serving as a Transportation Engineer at Caltrans since July 2024, Abdul has also held positions such as Civil Engineer/Engineering Coordinator at CAL FIRE from January 2023 to August 2024, and Designer and Estimator at Fortify Fire Protection from April 2021 to January 2023. Additionally, Abdul has been a Sprinkler Designer at Foothill Fire Protection Inc. since March 2019. Previous roles include Design Engineer at ICMA and Catholic Relief Services, and Office Engineer at UN-Habitat. Abdul Qadeer Popal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Herat University, completed from 2000 to 2004, and a Diploma in Science from Jami High School, obtained from 1994 to 2000.
