Richard Cass has a diverse and extensive work experience across various industries and roles. Richard started their career at HSBC plc, where they worked as a Manager and later became the Head of Pricing and Portfolio for Card Acquiring and Commercial Cards.
After their time at HSBC, Richard joined Sky, where they held multiple positions, including Commercial Technology Manager and Head of Product Development. In these roles, they developed and managed various products and services, such as Sky Q and Sky Broadband, and led teams in areas like innovation, customer experience development, and team management.
Richard also worked at nep Limited as the Managing Director, where they developed an innovative insurance proposition and oversaw company formation and full-service proposition development. Richard utilized an Agile approach to launch the service within nine months.
In their role as Consulting Director at EY-Seren, Richard provided thought leadership in the areas of Digital Transformation, Branding, and Design for Financial Services, Telecoms, Media, and Retail sectors. Richard was responsible for driving strategy, practice, and client projects, with a focus on the future of payments, digital identity and privacy, future of TV services, and publishing in a digital market.
Richard then joined Barclays, where they held various positions, such as Director Digital Product Management and Commercial Lead for Mortgages, and Digital Product Director for Lending. Richard played a key role in developing and delivering digital transformation initiatives for mortgage and lending products, including new mobile and online services. Richard was also involved in launching digital mortgage servicing, new mortgage acquisition features, and implementing a design thinking approach across the digital platform.
Most recently, Richard joined Foolproof as a Product Director, where they are responsible for leading the design engagement at Sky and identifying new commercial opportunities. Richard'srole includes design and creative leadership, as well as growing the agency account delivery for the digital customer experience for new propositions and existing customer relationships across web and mobile app services.

Richard Cass received a 2:1 (Hons) degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Central Lancashire in 1989. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from Scrum Alliance® in February 2019 and the Maritime Radio Operator GMDSS certification from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) in 2018. Richard also holds a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma (DipM) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), and their completion of PRINCE2 Practitioner is unknown.
