Mark Justine Zapanta is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in research and development within the fields of chemistry and bioscience engineering. Currently serving as a PhD Fellow for Strategic Basic Research at Research Foundation Flanders since November 2020, and a Research Assistant at KU Leuven's MeBioS-Biophotonics Group since March 2020, Mark has also held positions as an R&D Engineer at Axel'One and as a Chemist at San Miguel Corporation's Central Analytical Laboratory. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioscience Engineering from KU Leuven, a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Tartu, and a Master’s degree in Industrial Analysis from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines.
