Marit Hendrickx is a PhD Fellow at Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek - Vlaanderen (FWO) since November 2021 and a Doctoral Researcher at KU Leuven since August 2020, focusing on soil water balance modelling, real-time sensor measurements, and Bayesian inverse modelling. Marit is involved in the VLAIO project DRIP, which aims to optimize drip irrigation through data-driven approaches, collaborating with various agricultural organizations. Additionally, Marit represents the academic staff in the Division of Soil and Water Management at KU Leuven and participates in several faculty councils. Marit's previous experience includes an internship at Vegobel, where research was conducted on soil moisture sensors in basil cultivation, and an internship at SESVanderHave. Marit holds an MSc in Bioscience Engineering: Agricultural Sciences and a BSc in Bioscience Engineering from KU Leuven.
