Kim Groothuis is a Junior Postdoctoral Fellow at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO since October 2022, focusing on a project related to "Pragmatic expletive pronouns in the dialects of southern Italy." Previously, Kim served as a Postdoctoral Assistant at Ghent University from February 2020 to October 2022, specializing in Italian and Latin linguistics and teaching various courses, including Italian dialectology and Latin linguistics. An affiliated lecturer at the University of Cambridge from October 2015 to July 2020, Kim lectured on Italian linguistics and supervised MPhil essays. Additional roles included External Director of Studies at Pembroke College, lecturer at Leiden University, and Italian language teacher at TaalTaal B.V. and private institutions. Kim Groothuis holds a PhD in Italian from the University of Cambridge and multiple degrees in linguistics and Italian from Leiden University.
