Josse Van Delm is a Strategic Basic Research Fellow at Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) since November 2022 and concurrently serves as a PhD Researcher at MICAS (KU Leuven) since October 2021, focusing on enhancing the performance and energy efficiency of hardware AI accelerators through domain-specific compilers. Previous experience includes roles as a Student Coach and Student Developer during the open Summer of Code program, where Josse contributed to the development of open-source tools for data indexing at the Flemish Marine Institute and developer tools for open address data from the Belgian Federal Government. Josse holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven and a Master of Science in Engineering Technology (Electronics ICT) from KU Leuven Faculty of Engineering Technology - De Nayer Campus, and has recently completed a Visiting PhD research period in Computer Science at The University of Edinburgh. Currently, Josse is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at KU Leuven.
