Bram Carlier

Bram Carlier is a dedicated PhD student at the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) since November 2019, specializing in enhancing the safety and accuracy of radiotherapy cancer treatments through ventilation-based motion reduction and ultrasound contrast agents. Current research focuses on the development and biological characterization of superheated nanodroplets for proton range verification. Previously, Bram was a PhD student at KU Leuven from September 2018 to October 2019, concentrating on in vivo radiation dosimetry in preclinical tumor models. Earlier experiences include student roles as a food service worker at Planckendael Zoo and quality control laboratory assistant at Eternit Belgium. Bram holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Bioscience Engineering from KU Leuven, completed in 2018 and 2016, respectively.
