Casper Rouffaer is an experienced investigative journalist currently working at Follow the Money since July 2020, alongside a role as a thesis supervisor in Finance & Control at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Previous experience includes developing an investigative journalism curriculum at Open Eyes Institute and a significant tenure at Shell from 1988 to 2019, where roles ranged from Management Accountant to Planning & Appraisal Manager for Global IT, leading major strategic initiatives with a focus on performance management and governance in joint ventures. Additional finance management roles were held at NAM BV Assen and BK-GAS B.V., along with military service as a Supply Officer in the Royal Dutch Navy. Educational qualifications include a CMA from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
