Tim Fahey has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering and construction industry. Tim began their career at Alstom Power in 2001, where they held various roles such as Project Co-ordinator, Safety Officer, Site Supervisor, and Mechanical and Welding responsibilities until 2009.
In 2010, Tim joined The Engineering Company as a Project Manager and Estimator, a role they held until 2011. Tim then moved to OSM Group, where they served as an Acting Project Manager for the refurbishment of the Overland Belt Conveyor and associated process plant at PNG Hidden Valley Morobe Mining Joint Venture.
From 2011 to 2012, Tim worked as a Mechanical QA/QC Supervisor for the MOPU Project at Newcrest Mining LIHIR Island, Papua New Guinea. Tim was responsible for ensuring that site installations met quality standards and conducted audits and inspections.
In 2012, Tim held the position of Mechanical Supervisor for Process Plants International at Newcrest Mining's Cadia Valley Expansion Project in New South Wales. Tim provided technical support and assistance to the commissioning team and reported to the Operational Readiness Superintendent.
Later in 2012, Tim joined Walz Construction as a Mechanical Supervisor for the Mt Carlton Gold Mine Project in Queensland. Tim was responsible for overseeing the completion and installation of the process plant and equipment.
In 2013, Tim joined Fluor Australia as a Mechanical Quality Assurance Inspector, where they carried out inspections and signed off documentation for various activities on the Hub Compressor Station project at Roma 02 site in Queensland.
Currently, Tim Fahey is employed at The Engineering Company as a Workshop Manager, a role they assumed in November 2020. Prior to this role, they also worked as a Project Manager at the same company starting in April 2015.

Tim Fahey earned a Boilermaker Welding Certificate from Hobart Technical College between 1973 and 1977. Prior to that, they completed their Higher Schools Certificate at Smithton High School Tasmania, although the specific years of attendance are unknown.
