John Konopka, CFE has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. John began their career in law enforcement, starting as a Deputy Sheriff with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office in 1994. John later became a Deputy Sheriff Sergeant before transitioning to the Baton Rouge Police Department as a Police Officer Cadet.
In 2007, John joined Fulmer, LeRoy, Albee, Bauman & Glass as a Certified Paralegal, specializing in litigation. John then moved on to the Florida Office of the Attorney General in 2008, where they served as the Chief of Investigations for the South Florida region. In this role, they enforced Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and price gouging statute, conducting complex investigations into businesses and addressing consumer protection issues.
John's expertise in investigations led him to work as a Contract Investigator for OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation from 2009 to 2015. Here, they conducted background investigations, interviewed individuals, and provided comprehensive reports on their findings.
Throughout their career, John has demonstrated their strong analytical skills, asset identification, and financial records examination & analysis abilities. John is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), which reflects their dedication to preventing and addressing fraud in various contexts.
John Konopka, CFE has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology from Louisiana State University. John also holds an Associates of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Kaplan University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in April 2011 and as a Certified Paralegal from the National Association of Legal Assistants in May 2007.
