Dori Balser is currently a Clinical Research Fellow and Donald J. Cohen Fellow in Developmental Social Neuroscience at Marcus Autism Center, a position held since July 2022. Prior experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Psych 354: Abnormal Psychology and conducting research as an Honors Thesis Student at Washington University in St. Louis. The honors thesis focused on emotion processing in pediatric anxiety. Dori has also worked as a HelpLine Information and Resource Referral Specialist at NAMI, providing support to individuals seeking mental health resources. Previous roles include a research assistant at Washington University School of Medicine and a research intern at Georgia State School of Public Health. Dori held leadership positions at the Roosevelt Institute, where collaboration with community partners was emphasized, and at Temple Sinai as a Preschool Summer Camp Counselor. Dori earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences with a minor in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis and graduated as the salutatorian from Riverwood International Charter School.
