Conner Butcher is a Graduate Research Student at the Florida Institute of Technology since August 2019, specializing in the study of calcium-dependent contraction of the aorta, collagen buildup, and the role of HSP 70 in age-related aortic stiffness. Conner has experience in academic research, analyzing scientific literature, and utilizing various techniques such as Cryostat sectioning and fluorescence microscopy. Conner also served as a Lead Campus Ambassador, demonstrating leadership while providing campus tours and training new ambassadors. Prior experience includes working as a Medical Scribe at ProScribe, a Housekeeping Specialist at Baker County Medical Services, and a Research Intern at Chem-Free Solutions, where Conner focused on UV-LED sanitation research. Conner holds a Masterās degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Med Biomedical Science from the Florida Institute of Technology, along with an Associate of Arts degree from Florida Gateway College.
