Miranda Swanson is an experienced public health professional with a focus on community health and safety. Currently serving as the Health Officer for the Florida Department of Health since July 2004, Miranda Swanson monitors health indicator outcomes and advocates for improvements in public health through collaboration with various organizations. Prior roles include Assistant Director at the same department, Vision Project Manager for the California Emergency Medical Services Authority, and Health Care Network Consultant for the Winnebago County Health Department. Academically, Miranda Swanson holds a Master of Public Health from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from St. Olaf College.
