Juan Martinez has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Juan is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Flinks, where they lead a team of over 40 people and is responsible for building new features and implementing innovative ideas. Juan also coaches technical leaders to improve their focus and efficiency while aligning the software development life cycle with changing business needs.

Prior to their current role, Juan worked as an Engineering Manager at BenchSci, where they managed engineering projects and teams. Before that, they served as an Engineering Manager and Division Manager at Lixar Fuelled by BDO, leading multi-disciplined teams to deliver cloud projects to clients. In these roles, they were responsible for complete project delivery, including engineering, project management, and business development.

Juan has also held technical leadership positions at IMS Health, where they worked as a Technical Lead and Team Lead. In these roles, they provided guidance on front-end development and ETL process design, as well as extended the functionality of applications through integration web services. Juan also successfully designed and implemented new applications and change requests.

Prior to IMS Health, Juan worked as a Senior Web Developer at efundraising.com and as a Project Leader at Axis Technical Group. Juan also worked as a Tech Lead/Consultant at Ultimus, where they participated in implementing BPM solutions for clients and successfully created a bank loan approval system.

Earlier in their career, Juan worked as a Software Developer/Coowner at Apex ITG, a Web Developer at Danilo Black, and a Web Developer at Interactive Bureau Mexico.

Juan Martinez obtained a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems, with a specialization in General MIS, from Universidad Tec Milenio. Juan attended this institution from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, Juan earned their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they studied from 1997 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Juan also obtained a certification in Secret Clearance from the Government of Canada in January 2021.
