Mike Thomas is an experienced technology and engineering professional, currently serving as the Engineering Team Leader for Customer Experience at Flight Centre Travel Group since March 2021. Prior to this role, Mike held various senior engineering and software development positions, including Senior Software Engineer at a contract position and Senior Software Developer at XVT Solutions. Mike's career began in engineering management and evolved through software development across multiple organizations, such as Fugro Roames and Cash Converters, where Mike specialized in software development, geospatial management, and financial services. Mike also has a background in environmental compliance as a Consulting Geologist and Manager for the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection. Academically, Mike holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Geology and Mineralogy, Chemistry from The University of Queensland, and a Graduate Diploma in Pure Mathematics and Statistics from the University of New England.
