Wynand Jacob du Plessis currently serves as the Group General Manager - Remuneration at Fletcher Building, a role held since April 2022. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Manager - People Advisory Services at EY, focusing on remuneration strategies and governance from October 2019 to April 2022. Wynand was also a Reward Association Committee Member for the South African Reward Association from January 2018 to September 2019, promoting the reward profession in South Africa. As Group Head of Reward at Mr Price Group from October 2017 to September 2019, responsibilities included overseeing the total reward function for approximately 20,000 employees across multiple countries. Previous experience includes roles at Mercer as Market Leader & Senior Associate, Consultant, and Analyst, where extensive exposure to African reward trends was gained. Wynand's early career included leadership at the University of Pretoria's Student Culture Committee and academic qualifications encompassing a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and a BSc (Hons) in Financial Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
