Simon Stubbs is a seasoned professional in the mining industry with extensive experience in reliability engineering, compliance, and management. Currently serving as a Reliability Engineer at Fitzroy Mining Operations since April 2024, Simon has held various significant roles, including Contracts and Compliance Manager and SSE at BHP from May 2019 to September 2023. Previous positions include Project Superintendent/SSE for BMA Major Shutdowns at Hays and Execution Coordinator/SSE for BMA Major Shutdowns Draglines at Wisely Group. Simon took a breather between roles, dedicating time to personal and professional reset in late 2023. With a foundational education from Rockhampton Grammar School, Simon brings a wealth of expertise from previous roles in maintenance and continuous improvement at notable companies such as Yancoal Australia Ltd and Peabody Energy.
