Alex Nouvakhov is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in project finance and infrastructure. Currently serving as Senior Director at Fitch Ratings since October 2016, Alex leads a team of credit analysts in evaluating and assigning ratings for project finance transactions in various sectors, including energy and infrastructure. Prior experience includes managing the Commercial Section at the Alaska Division of Oil and Gas, negotiating contracts and frameworks, and co-founding Salsa Express. As Director at HSBC, Alex developed the Project and Export Finance business in Russia, overseeing significant advisory and lending transactions. Earlier roles include Associate Director at HypoVereinsbank, focusing on cross-border financing. Alex holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Political Science from the University of Washington.
