Theanna Bezney is an associate in the firm’s Dallas office and focuses her practice on all areas of employment law. She regularly counsels companies on employment law compliance; prepares employment contracts, severance agreements, and documents relating to protection of employer trade secrets and employee defection; and defends companies in matters involving everything from claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation to wage and hour litigation.
Furthermore, she represents employers in a variety of disputes under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Texas Labor Code. Theanna also represents companies before various courts and agencies, including before the U.S. Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Texas Workforce Commission.
Theanna earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law where she served as Editor of the American Journal of Criminal Law. Before that, she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, summa cum laude, from the University of New Mexico.
