Early in their career, Tracy was a Sales Manager at Taylor Communications/Expanets, where they managed a team responsible for selling voicemail platforms, key systems, and PBX systems in Maine and New Hampshire.

Tracy Peters obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maine, completing their education from 1983 to 1987.
